Foods and Nutrition Comprehensive Major; Didactic Program in Dietetics, 74 hours: B.S.—No Minor Required

This program offers two tracks of study.  One provides education for persons desiring a career in foods and nutrition who wish to seek the Registered Dietitian credential, and the other will offer a degree in foods and nutrition for students who do not wish to seek the Registered Dietitian credential.  The Didactic Program in Dietetics at Northwest is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND) of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, 120 South Riverside, Plaza Suite 2190, Chicago, IL 60606, (312) 899-0400, ext. 5400. The ACEND Registered Dietitian track, followed by a dietetic internship, enables one to sit for the examination leading to registered dietitian (RD) status.
