Assist and Student Athlete Success Programs
Located on the second floor of the B.D. Owens Library, Northwest’s Assist and Student Athlete Success Programs provide at-risk freshmen and varsity student-athletes with services which help them better understand the purposes of higher education, aid in the transition from high school to college, promote standards of academic excellence, assist students in creating and maintaining the life-long learning strategies that minimize anxiety and promote the development of positive attitudes, and provide guidance and recommendations for using institutional resources and services. A special feature of the Student Athlete Success Program is its focus on persistence to graduation for Northwest’s varsity student-athletes.
