POLS 34320 Politics and Propaganda in Film

The course is an investigation into the definition and use of film as a means of communicating political ideas and spreading political propaganda. Feature movies, cartoons, documentaries, and television programming is examined for varied themes used as political communication in both domestic and international contexts. The course also studies the environment with which the movies were made and the techniques used by the moviemakers that enhance their message.
