PHYS 25110 General Physics I
This is a laboratory course in general physics designed to provide the necessary background in physics to fill Northwest Core requirements and to fill general physics needs for pre-professional programs. Major topics covered are structure and properties of matter, motion, mechanics, work, energy, momentum, elasticity, waves, temperature and heat. Three hours of lecture and discussion each week. Must be taken concurrently with PHYS 17111. Prerequisite: MATH 17117, or MATH 17118, or MATH 17119, or MATH 17120 or permission of instructor. (F, SS)
