PHYS 25320 Classical Mechanics I

An introduction to classical mechanics. General topics include elements of Newtonian mechanics, motion of a particle in one dimension, motion of a particle in two and three dimensions, the motion of a system of particles, rigid bodies and gravitation. Three hours of lecture and discussion each week. Must be taken concurrently with PHYS 25321. Prerequisites: PHYS 25120 and PHYS 25121, MATH 17121 or concurrently.
