EDUC 61658 Law, Policy, and Finance in Higher Education

This course will provide the student with in-depth analysis of how federal and state laws impact decision making and policy creation at the university, thus creating a compliance loop.  Additionally, analysis of how the university leaders can impact federal and state policy creation through partnerships, advocacy, and collaboration, human resources, politics, residential vs non-residential institutions, and union vs non-union institutions.
