ENGL 10351 Science Fiction Lit

An examination of the history, thematic development, and artistic and social impact of science fiction, especially in print but not exclusive of other literary media. A fundamental goal of the course will be to interrogate how science fiction, which exemplifies the broader genre of fantastic literature, is not only fantastic but also literature. Prerequisites: 10-111 Composition and 10-220 Introduction to Literature.
