MCOM 20357 Opinion Writing

357 Opinion Writing Opinion Writing emphasizes writing and critical thinking in the deevelopment of institutional and personal editorials and columns for newspapers and other print media. The mission, obligation and history of opinion writing and the editorial page will be covered, along with correct and effective use of the English language to produce persuasive, argumentative, explanatory and informational editorials. Current issues will serve as springboards for comment. Prerequisite: 20-227. (F)
