International student exchange, study abroad and internship programs sup-port the array of academic programs at Northwest. Whether a faculty-led short term program, a summer program, a trimester or academic year, students have the opportunity to earn Northwest credit abroad, at the same time they are exposed to a new educational system. Usually taken in the sophomore or junior year, students broaden their horizons by traveling to an international location to study with local citizens and/or international students to experience global living.
Bilateral, direct and consortium agreements are in place and continue to be updated to satisfy the need of students. Study Abroad programs include Australearn, Asialearn, Eurolearn, International Student Exchange Program (ISEP), Magellan Exchange, Mexico Exchange, Missouri-London Program, Asia Program, and faculty-led short term programs.
