EDUC 61461 School and Society
A survey of the sociological, multicultural and literacy needs in schools in our society today. Because one of the most significant issues facing our schools and our society today is the inability of students to meet proficiency levels in literacy, an emphasis of this course will be instructional interventions for students with reading deficits. Secondary students must be enrolled concurrently with EDUC 61630, EDUC 61520 and Content Methods the trimester prior to student teaching. Prerequisite: Admittance to Teacher Education.
