CSIS 44566 Applied Data Analytics
This course will introduce fundamental concepts and techniques of data mining, including data attributes, data pre-processing, association and correlation, classification methods, and cluster analysis. Big data and associated issued (e.g. graphs, graphical models, and data visualization) will be explored. The course will include a final project in an application domain of interest to the students. Students will be expected to apply early semester coursework throughout the course and will be able to use these tools outside the classroom. Undergraduate prerequisite: CSIS 44460 with a grade of C or better. Graduate prerequisite: CSIS 44542 with a grade of B or better, or concurrent enrollment in CSIS 44542, or consent of instructor.
