HIST 33622 Environmental History

This graduate-level course introduces students to the methods and themes of environmental history. Throughout human history non-human actors from plants and animals to weather and geography have shaped the human experience. Environmental historians explore how humans have responded to these conditions and how they made sense out of them in their own cultural and scientific context.
