A comprehensive program that prepares individuals to teach music at the K-12 education level, especially vocal/choral music and elementary and secondary general music.
Requirements
The Northwest Core (44-47 hours)
Directed Northwest Core Requirement: must achieve a grade of C or better in each.

Music Core (28 hours)
Recital Attendance Requirement: MUS 19299 must be taken for 6 semesters. This course is an activity credit and does not carry academic credit.

This major, when completed under the B.M.E. Program, will meet Missouri teacher certification standards for Vocal Music grades K–12.
