Law and Politics Minor, 24 hours

The mission of the minor program is to successfully educate students from diverse backgrounds in the fundamental skills, knowledge, and application of law, legal systems, and political institutions through courses in order to:
(1) prepare them for positions associated with the legal system, law, or applicable government or non-governmental institutions and organizations and (2) prepare them for continuing for advanced degrees in disciplines related to law, political science, and public policy. The program promotes a commitment to continued scholarship and service among graduates and will foster a spirit of innovation in an environment that is inclusive and diverse.

Choose 9 credits from the following political science courses:
Notes: POLS 34311 Practicum in Political Science, POLS 34462 Comparative Political Systems and Behaviors, and POLS 34465 Substantive Policy may be taken for repeat credit with different topics for a maximum of 6 hours of credit towards the minor. PHIL 39277 cannot be used to fulfill the NW Core requirement if applied to the minor.
