NUTR 47434 Med Nutr Ther II
The science of nutrition as it applies to individuals with atypical metabolic conditions and/or pathological completion of case studies, product analyses, and calculations for enteral and parenteral nutrition support. Medical Nutrition Therapy is an introduction to disease processes and the appropriate medical therapy. It is a core course for the dietetic professional. Laboratory time will include work with case studies and nutritional assessment data, which require analysis and critical thinking. Thus, this course addresses Nortwhest's Key Quality Indicators of Communication, Critical/Creative Thinking, Self-Directed Learning and Competence in a Discipline. Prerequisites:
