RAD 49305 Radiographic Positioning and Procedures I Laboratory

This positioning and procedures lab course is designed to provide students with hands-on experience in a non-patient related clinical area. Radiographic Procedures lab will introduce the students to the function and structure of the different organizational levels and systems associated with the human body. The anatomy of the chest, abdomen and upper extremities will be presented along with various types of fractures associated with the upper extremities. Pathology and clinical findings will be discussed as well. Equipment manipulation, control panel maneuvers and table positioning, central ray angulations as well as image receptor placement and other medical imaging operations will be evaluated. Corequisite: RAD 49304.
