EDCI 62658 Professional, Ethical, & Reflective Practices
This course focuses on strategies and resources for cultivating one’s professional, ethical, and reflective practices. Professional competencies, attributes, and dispositions requisite for the various roles educational diagnosticians may serve within a multi-tiered system of support and special education services will be examined. Models for professional development through learning communities will be reviewed. Personal reflection will be employed to examine the influence that one’s worldview, lived experiences, and values have on one’s ability to respond professionally and ethically when legal or ethical issues arise. Prerequisite: EDCI 62638.
