CHEM 24562 General Biochemistry
An introductory course in biochemistry which deals with topics in the field. The description and function of amino acids, proteins, fats, nucleic acids, and certain carbohydrates will be discussed. Enzymes and their role in metabolic processes will be emphasized. Three hours of lecture and recitation per week. Prerequisite: CHEM 24-342 with a minimum grade of C, or permission of instructor. (F)
